The 405-room Albuquerque Marriott offers exactly what you'd expect in a mega-chain of this size and price point: a large pool, modern fitness center, and decent-to-great views from its high-rise rooms. Room decor, though, is also what you'd expect -- comfortable yet basic furniture, hospitality style carpeting, and little personality. The bathrooms are nice, though. And large flat-screen TVs and modern coffeemakers with free coffee are a nice touch. Be prepared to pay a high fee for Wi-Fi, which is an annoyance considering comparable properties like the nearby Crowne Plaza Albuquerque offer it for free.

A high-rise with some great views, a large pool, shops, and restaurant
Following up on the 2008 renovation of its rooms, the Albuquerque Marriott finished its facelift with updates to the lobby, restaurants, and other public spaces, which gives the hotel a more consistent appearance. Good thing, because as it now stands as aA mall and restaurants are within walking distance, and the Uptown location makes it very easy to access the abundant shopping nearby.

The Albuquerque Marriott rises high above Uptown, a shopping district comprised of chain stores like Apple and Victoria’s Secret. The hotel is also close to I-40, making it a quick drive to most of Albuquerque’s attractions, such as the Sandia Tram and Old Town. Spacious and basic modern-chain decor with some excellent views
The rooms are relatively modern -- at least by mid-level mega-chain standards. There’s not much emphasis on New Mexico in the decor, with a few framed black-and-white photos of local scenes on the walls. Otherwise, it’s purely the Marriott look with dark wood furniture, patterned carpet, extra pillows on the beds, and decorative light fixtures. A large pool, great views, but no on-site spa
For its large 405-room capacity, the hotel has an excellent-size indoor/outdoor pool (though they could add some extra lounge seating) and spacious, modern fitness center. The pool is located in a secluded courtyard with adjacent meeting space where weddings and other events are frequently held. (With 16,000 square feet of meeting space overall, the Marriott is a popular spot for events and conventions.) Cielo Sandia is the lone restaurant on the property and tends to garner good reviews, and there’s also a nice lounge in the lobby along with an extensive gift shop.- Free self-parking
