This hotel’s budget-friendly rates and suburban location just off Interstate 40 attract overnight guests passing through the area and those visiting for a couple of days. The lobby is small but comfortable, with tan tile floors, brick columns, and a simple reception desk. Two separate sitting areas have brown upholstered sofas and loveseats, as well as a flat-screen TV and two round dining tables where breakfast is served daily. It’s a fairly tight space that can get crowded at times in the morning. Generally, this no-frills hotel remains quiet with guests staying mostly in their rooms when they’re not out and about in Nashville. But the outdoor pool can be a popular place on hot afternoons.

The hotel is just a minute or so off an Interstate 40 exit in suburban West Nashville. There are numerous businesses surrounding the hotel, including several restaurants and gas stations that are directly across the street or a walk of three minutes or less. There's a supermarket nearby that can be reached in two minutes by car or 10 minutes on foot. Most of downtown Nashville’s attractions are approximately 20 minutes away by car, including Nissan Stadium, Bridgestone Arena, Music City Center, and Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. There is a bus stop about a two-minute walk from the hotel, and travel times to downtown by public transit take about one hour. Vanderbilt University and Tennessee State University are approximately a 15-minute drive, and Nashville International Airport is a 25-minute drive. The Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center is 25 to 30 minutes away by car. Nearby attractions include Belle Meade Plantation and the Loveless Café, both of which are a 12- to 15-minute drive. 

Room decor is bland and in need of an update, with mustard yellow or white walls paired with brown patterned carpets, which many guests have reported are worn and stained. Brown drapes frame the windows and match bed throws, while budget-quality, beige laminate furniture includes nightstands, armoires, and small desks. Small window seats provide seating or can function as a bed for kids. Suites offer more space and include a separate sitting area with a sleeper sofa and small dining table for two, plus they offer added amenities like wet bars with coffeemakers, microwaves, and mini-fridges, which are not included in standard rooms. All rooms include free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Bathrooms are average size for a budget property and include acrylic shower/tub combos and gray linoleum floors. White acrylic vanity sinks are wall-mounted and stretch above the adjacent toilets. Rooms are generally quiet, but poor soundproofing means that some noise can be heard from neighboring rooms. Some guests also complain of cleanliness issues.

There is a small rectangular outdoor pool, but no fitness center, restaurant, or bar. Free parking is available on the hotel’s surface lot, and there are truck and bus parking spaces. A continental breakfast is included in room rates, plus coffee and tea are available in the lobby throughout the day. A safe deposit box is available for guests' use at the front desk. The hotel offers copy and fax services, plus Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Pets are welcome in select rooms with a small surcharge.
